Studio Tosi and Associates - Benefit Corporation -is a Professional Partnership (STP) with three partners, all registered with the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts: Dr. Gabriele Tosi, Dr. Roberto Distefano, and Dr. Stefano Carabellò.
The firm offers tax, accounting, corporate, crisis management, business growth assistance, M&A services, and ancillary services, particularly in the field of starting and developing new business or professional initiatives. The professionals at the firm are experts in the industrial sector, especially in steel, paper, mechanical, textile, plastics, audio-visual, and new media industries. They also focus on the internationalization of Italian businesses, growth processes, public offerings, and extraordinary national and international corporate transactions.
They are experts in tax disputes and transfer pricing, crisis management with numerous approved preventive arrangements, and authors of Organizational Models for important regional companies.

BENEFIT CORPORATION

On March 18 th , 2024, Studio Tosi adopted the status of a Benefit Corporation, thus "pursuing common benefit goals in its economic activities by promoting the knowledge and application of good corporate governance aimed at achieving profits within the framework of a positive social and environmental impact of business activities," as stated in its statute. In line with this purpose, Studio Tosi has been one of the main promoters and active participants of the Eos Esg Association (eos esg | Home), which has similar goals. Thanks to the Association's activities, member companies can approach the vast ESG landscape in a cost-effective manner, and the provided "guided path" optimizes time management. The firm, therefore, implements its objective of spreading a new corporate culture primarily through the Association. Studio Tosi has included additional goals in its By-Law and, in this context, has paid particular attention to balancing private life needs with work requirements for its collaborators and employees.
It also focuses on mitigating its environmental impact.
Since its inception, Studio Tosi has supported several local cultural initiatives, which have since gained national significance, including the Michelangelo Antonioni Film Institute and the BA Film Festival, of which one partner of the firm is currently Honorary President.

THE FOUNDER: DR. MICHELE TOSI

Born in 1927 in Busto Arsizio, Dr. Michele Tosi graduated in accounting and earned his degree in Economics and Commerce with Honors from the Catholic University of Milan. He then taught at Ca' Foscari University in Venice and began his career as a chartered accountant in 1950, even before the enactment of Presidential Decrees 1067 and 1068 in 1953, which established the relevant professional orders, of which he would be a lifelong member.
In the 1960s and 1970s, he became a key figure for businesses in the Province of Varese and Alto Milanese, initiating, among other initiatives, a successful collaboration with Medio Credito for financing regional companies. He later served as a National Councilor for the College of Accountants and Experts in Commerce and was elected President of the Order of Chartered Accountants for three terms in the Busto Arsizio District Court area. In his private life, he was a mountain enthusiast and the founder of the Scouts in Busto Arsizio and a pioneer in traveling to destinations previously unknown to tourism, such as Zambia in 1971 and the pristine Galapagos Islands in 1974. He also committed himself, even at personal risk of loss, to the rescue of distressed companies.

In addition to the pro bono activities carried out as a Benefit Corporation through the Eos ESG Association, as described in the dedicated section, Studio Tosi provides professional consulting to companies for the evolution of activities towards sustainability. Topics such as stakeholder mapping and fostering an ESG culture within the organization, along with the establishment of suitable corporate structures, are increasingly commonplace. The evolution towards sustainability presents a significant business opportunity rather than an unnecessary expense, if managed correctly. The expertise of the responsible partner in defining competitive sustainability strategies is certified by SDA Bocconi School of Management. The firm is active in promoting the development of renewable energies.

Export Development for Italian Businesses

In the context of assisting the internationalization processes of Italian companies, the firm has particular skills in various areas, including serving as a Certified Advisor in the GCC region (UAE, Saudi Arabia, etc.) and operational partnership with SACE to support exports. On November 3, 2023, in Dubai, at the prestigious Burj Al Arab, Dr. Gabriele Tosi was awarded by the Ambassador and the Consul in the UAE, along with the President of the Italy-UAE and Saudi Arabia Chamber of Commerce, for his contributions to the development of Italian businesses in the region.
For similar reasons, on November 2, 2024 in Dubai, Dr. Gabriele Tosi was again awarded for the activity carried out in 2023/2024, in the presence - in addition to the Ambassador and the Consul in the Emirates, as well as the President of the Chamber of Commerce - of the Sheikh of the important Emirate of Sharjah, among the most industrially developed in the United Arab Emirates.
